A large part of our product range is knitwear. We order our yarns from Italian and English spinning mills. From there, the wool cones are sent directly to the knitting factory and processed further.
We have been working with the company Strickchic from Apolda/Thuringia for many years. Strickchic was founded in Apolda in 1896 and is a family-run business with highly qualified specialists, well-equipped technical facilities and extensive experience.

First samples are created there according to our designs and further developed until they are ready for production.
The pieces are knitted on knitting machines with different gauges - 12, 8 and 5. The gauge indicates how many "knitting needles" are on one inch and depends on the yarn thickness. It essentially determines the stitch pattern. Coarse yarns are knitted on the 5 gauge, fine ones on the 12 gauge.
The knitting machines are computer-controlled, and a programmer is needed for each piece to be knitted to write the corresponding program.

All knitted parts are washed before confectioning. This allows us to reasonably ensure that the items are washable on a cold wool cycle without shrinking. The individual knitted parts are therefore initially knitted larger to achieve the correct size after washing. This is a very complex work process, which is only possible for us because we produce in small series. On an industrial scale, this would be almost unthinkable.
After washing and drying, the parts are steamed and then confectioned. We exclusively process high-quality merino and lamb's wool, cotton or viscose-linen blends and work with the same spinning mills for years.
We know the quality and characteristics of the yarns well and can incorporate this into the production process. All processed yarns are 100% mulesing-free and from sustainable cotton or forestry.
